Broadway Bakery is an equal opportunity employer. This notwithstanding, we believe in creating long-term employment opportunities for the marginalized and disadvantaged members of the society, such as people living with disability (PWD). Broadway Bakery is an excellent place to build your career in food technology and food science. We also employ professionals in other disciplines, such as mechanical and electrical engineering, accounting, business management and supply chain management, amongst others.
We give our staff very attractive remuneration, which compares well with the best rates in the industry. In addition, we have a mandatory life policy, provident fund and retirement benefit package for all our staff members designed to take care of any eventualities. Since 1978, employees have been represented at the shop level by the Bakery, Confectionery, Food Manufacturing and Allied Workers Union (Kenya), with regular Collective Bargaining Agreements signed every two years. The management believes in keeping good industrial relations for the benefit of all parties. Currently, we have four hundred permanent employees working in various departments in the company.
Every year, we accept student interns on attachment from regional institutions, such as Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. We believe in offering opportunities to young professionals in the food and beverages sector, as well as in engineering and business development.
