In a global effort to raise awareness on breast cancer, Broadway Group of Companies have offered free breast cancer screening for all their female employees at Thika Level 5 Hospital. Over the last few days, their staff have been given the opportunity to do mammograms and ultrasounds at the facility. This is part of the Group’s CSR activities to keep their workforce healthy.
Mr Devan Shah, the Group’s Head of Business Development, said that “breast cancer is something we have had to deal with on a personal level within our family. Hence, we are extremely committed to helping where we can. We wanted to start at home with our own staff, whilst also raising awareness of the ample facilities we have in this country to tackle issues like breast cancer.”
Dr Raju Mohindra, Chairman of the Board of Thika Level 5 Hospital, thanked Broadway Group for choosing the hospital to conduct this exercise. He further encouraged other corporates to conduct similar exercises and committed to making sure the hospital would provide services at affordable prices to the community at large.
