We proudly present the #ShairiSmart Junior Secondary and High Schools Poem Competition where we are giving young poets the chance to ignite their creativity. We believe in providing a platform for their creative genius to shine, fostering a love for words and expression.

Join us in celebrating the power of poetry as we amplify their words and voices and nurture a community of wordsmiths for generations to come.

#ShairiSmart Terms and conditions

1. Go to: www.broadway.co.ke and choose a topic to write a creative poem or shairi on. It could be Broadways bread, Broadways snacks, Baked with Heart, #BeSugarSmart or anything else related to the company.
2. Your poem should be a maximum of 200 words and in either Swahili or English.
3. Hand over your poem to your designated teacher. Your teacher and school will choose a maximum of 3 poems from your school and submit using the online form found at www.broadway.co.ke/shairi
4. All submitted poems will be vetted by a team of judges comprising of school teachers, company staff and independent individuals.
5. Students from Junior Secondary & High Schools (both boys and girls) are eligible to enter.
6. There will be a maximum of five prizes in the Junior Secondary category (mix of boys and girls) and three prizes in the High School category (each for boys and girls).
7. Each winning student will also earn their respective school a special prize.
8. Deadline for submission is 12th August 2024.

10. By entering into this competition, all students and entries agree and accept that all poems submitted shall remain the property of Broadway Bakery Limited and that Broadway Bakery Limited shall own all the intellectual property rights in the material.
